OLD CARS
Cash for Old Cars in Sydney: Age Isn't the End of Value
Fifteen years old. Twenty. Three hundred thousand kilometres of faithful service and a clear coat that's given up. Private buyers see a liability; we see one of the most repairable, parts-worthy things on the road. Old cars are our bread and butter.

THE HONEST POSITION
Old doesn't mean done. Popular old cars are a market of their own.
The average Australian car travels around 15,000 kilometres a year, which puts a 2005 commuter somewhere near 300,000 km by now. Sounds terminal. Isn't. The best-selling cars of that era (Corolla, Camry, HiLux, Falcon, Commodore) sold in such numbers that parts demand stays alive decades later, and their engines were built to be repaired, not replaced. That demand is real money, and it flows through our workshop every week.
What actually kills an old car's value isn't age. It's the repair-quote trap: a $2,500 quote on a $3,000 car makes owners give up, right at the moment a workshop like ours could do the same job at trade cost and put the car back to work. That gap is exactly what we pay into. Your old car is worth more to us than the quote that scared you suggests.
Honest limits: some old cars genuinely are at the end. Rusted out, flood-killed, or too rare to support parts. When that's true we say so and pay fair metal and parts value instead. Either way, pickup is free. Get a quote for your old car and you'll know which side of the line it sits on.
The repair quote that scared you is exactly the work we do at trade cost.
NSW RULES · KNOW WHERE YOU STAND
- No roadworthy or pink slip is needed to sell an old car in NSW. Photo ID and proof of ownership gets it done.
- Rego lapsed years ago? You can't legally drive it to a buyer, which is why our pickup is free. Leftover registration may be refundable when cancelled.
- Plates on? The Notice of Disposal takes minutes at pickup, and the car is out of your name the day it leaves.
WHY WE PAY MORE
We keep old cars alive for a living. The parts network and repair skills that make that possible are the same things that make your old car worth more to us.
Parts demand knowledge
We know which old models still move parts, and price accordingly.
Trade-cost repairs
The fix that scared you costs us a fraction of the retail quote.
THE PROCESS, SHORT VERSION
01
Tell us the year, model and story
How long it's served, what's tired. We price the car, not the age.

We price the car, not the age
Parts demand and repair value counted, honestly.
03
Free pickup, paid on the spot
Wherever it's parked, however long it's sat there.
Old-car questions, straight answers
Usually yes, and often more than the owner expects. If it's a popular model (Corolla, Camry, HiLux and their era-mates), parts and repair demand keeps a floor under the price. Condition still matters, but age alone doesn't decide the number. A free quote tells you where yours sits.
Get a quote →We do. Cars that have sat for one, three or five years come with seized brakes, stale fuel and flat batteries, all normal for our workshop. The tilt-tray collects free, and we price what the car is, not what the years of sitting look like.
Get a quote →Honest answer: get both numbers first. If a repair quote exceeds the car's value, selling to us usually beats paying it, because we do that same repair at trade cost and the car is worth more to us. If it's genuinely worth fixing and keeping, we'll tell you that too. It costs us nothing to be straight.
