PARTS VALUE
Sell a Car for Parts in Sydney: When Pieces Beat the Whole
Sometimes the smartest way to sell a car is as the sum of its parts. Statutory write-offs, rare trims, dead shells with strong components: we dismantle cars in our own workshop, so we can see and pay the value that scrap-only buyers can't.

THE HONEST POSITION
A car is a catalogue. Some catalogues are worth more than others.
Every car is a few hundred sellable components bolted together. Engines and gearboxes with life left, undamaged panels in good colours, headlights, modules, seats, wheels, and the catalytic converter that scrap yards quietly treasure. When a car can't go back on the road (statutory write-offs especially), its honest value is that catalogue, and a buyer who dismantles in-house can pay it properly.
Where sellers get burnt is the gap between “parts value” and “scrap weight.” A scrap-only buyer weighs your car and pays by the tonne, full stop. We check the catalogue first: what's bolted to it, what condition it's in, and what the used-parts market pays for it. Plenty of cars earn more in pieces than they ever would whole, and we tell you when yours is one of them.
One boundary worth knowing: we buy whole cars, not loose parts. If you've already pulled the car apart, we're not the buyer for the leftovers. But a complete car, however dead, is exactly what we price best. Tell us what's bolted to yours and we'll tell you what the catalogue is worth.

NSW RULES · KNOW WHERE YOU STAND
- Complete cars only: we buy the whole vehicle, not loose parts or stripped shells.
- Statutory write-offs can't be re-registered in NSW, but their parts value is real and we pay it honestly.
- Catalytic converters, panels, engines and modules all count. Describe what's intact.
WHY WE PAY MORE
We dismantle and repair in the same workshop, so parts we can't reuse on our own rebuilds still have known resale value to us. Two revenue streams on one car means a higher offer to you.
In-house dismantling
No middleman between your car and the parts market. That margin goes in your price.
Catalogue before scales
We check component value before scrap weight. Scrap is the floor, not the price.

Parts questions, straight answers
Three kinds, usually. Statutory write-offs that can never be re-registered, cars with one fatal fault surrounded by healthy components (blown engine, perfect panels), and models with strong used-parts demand: popular utes, common Mazdas and Toyotas, anything a thousand other owners need spares for.
Get a quote →Whole cars only. If the car is already stripped or you're holding a garage full of panels, we're not the right buyer. But a complete car, running or not, is exactly what we price best, because the full catalogue is where the value adds up.
Get a quote →Anywhere from a few hundred dollars for a genuinely picked-over shell to several thousand for a complete car with in-demand components. The honest answer needs the make, model and what's still bolted on, which is exactly what the two-minute quote form asks for.
